Welcome to the Office of Investing in Innovation (Oi3)

The Office of Investing in Innovation supports nontraditional programs that improve student achievement or student growth, close achievement gaps, decrease dropout rates, increase high school graduation rates, or increase college enrollment and completion rates (i3); provides grants to state and local education agencies, nonprofit organizations, for-profit organizations identified by Congress in appropriations legislation (FIE); and supports the development of educational television and digital media programs targeted at preschool and early elementary school children and their families to promote early learning and school readiness, with a particular interest in reaching low-income children (RTL).

Following is a list of virtual schools — coursework from an accredited private school or accredited not-for-profit or publicly funded institution, taught primarily through online methods. Schools are listed by country and by state or province. Within each geographic division, primary and secondary schools are listed first; colleges and universities are listed second.
Any of the thousands of commercial or unaccredited ventures that sell online courses should be listed elsewhere, under their relevant categories.
